Emilio Coslovi, nato a Momiano, nella comunitá di Italiani in Istria, nel 1938 viene a Trieste per studiare in seminario. Il confine si chiude alle sue spalle e si converte in un rifugiato, in un prete, in un prete operaio, scegliendo di lavorare in una fabbrica per condividere la fatica del lavoro con i suoi compagni. Emilio è strano, radicale, non accetta compromessi tanto da dover essere aiutato e curato. Inizia un viaggio attraverso vari trattamenti psichiatrici tra cui  l'elettroshock. Non è un eroe. È un uomo semplice che viene dalla campagna e che trasmette un forte approcio evangelico alla vita.
Un documentario sul passaggio, nella nostra storia e nel nostro territorio,
di un essere umano fragile, segnato nel corpo e nella mente.

Emilio Coslovi, born in Momiano, from the italian minority in Istria, former Yugoslavia comes to Trieste to study in the seminary. The border closes behind him and he becomes a refugee. Then a priest, later on a workerpriest, choosing to work in a factory to share the fatighe of labour with the felloworkers. But Emilio finds new borders around him. Emilio is weird, radical, he accepts no compromises. He must be cured, helped. Emilio goes through several psychiatric treatment, electroshock and much more.
Emilio is no hero, a simple man, coming from the countryside, with a strong direct evangelical approach to life.
A documentary on how a fragile human being crosses our history and our territories, signs on his body and mind.

  "Un film sbilenco, che cerca di dire di Emilio. Si appropria della sua parola, attraverso i diari, li legge, li butta in pasto allo spettatore, ne mette in scena alcuni tratti salienti, necessariamente interpretando, esagerando forse, pretendendo pure di considerarlo lo sguardo di Emilio. E poi prende fiato e dice parole di amici, fa fluire discorsi e considerazioni di chi lo ha incrociato, costruendo una narrazione che si intreccia al commento continuo, a ciò che Emilio ha lasciato, non di documentale, ma di umano. Tutte le persone intervistate lo raccontano con forza, quasi come un pugno nello stomaco che ancora fa male. I suoi amici lo accompagnano per tutto il film, fino a tentare una restituzione. a Momiano, proiettiamo le prime interviste in piazza, e documentiamo la serata chiudendo così il nostro percorso. "A crooked film, that tries to tell about Emilio. It gets possession of his words, through his diaries, reading them, throwing them to the audience, it re-stages some of the most important aspects, necessarily interpreting, exagerating at the same time, pretending to rappresent the eye of Emilio on reality. Then the film pauses, and through the words of his friends, lets the arguments flow, focusing on the considerations and interpretations of the people that met him, building a narrative flow that crosses a continous analysis, on what Emilio left us, most of all on the human side. All the people interviewed tell us about Emilio in a strong and direct way, almost like a punch in the stomach that still hurts. His friends accompany him throughout the whole film, till the final attempt to get him back to Momiano, his hometown, where we screen the first rough cut of the interviews, and we document and shoot the event, closing our documentary with those images.
It has been a work that couldn’t ever had been done alone, but always was together with many of you."
